Star Wars

Star Wars is the classic example where order changes the experience. Many fans swear by watching the original trilogy first—4,5,6—before the prequels 1,2,3, because major plot twists hit harder that way. Others prefer true chronological order starting with the prequels, especially if you already know who Vader is.

Narrative (Chronological Storyline) Order

Set 32 years before A New Hope, introducing young Anakin Skywalker.
  1. Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Set 10 years later as the Clone Wars begin.
  1. The Clone Wars (2008 animated movie)
Fits right into the early days of the galactic conflict.

Depicts the fall of the Republic and Anakin's turn to the dark side.
